Paul was a busy man . . . and a man of many words. His way was rough, passionate, and sometimes downright offensive to the Gentiles and the Jews in the major textile center of Colossae. In his letter to the church of Colossae, Paul gets worked up about non-believers discovering that salvation is solely in the hands of Jesus and what place Jesus occupies in relation to creation and the church. In true Paul fashion, he takes heady ideas and breaks them down into simple-ish thoughts.
